Breathing Life, Day by Day, Into Northwood Village

A few years ago, Will Davis wandered down the street in this once-forlorn slab of West Palm Beach called Northwood Village. He liked the ambiance of the area. A village of one-of-a-kind boutiques, mom and pop shops, coffee shops, art galleries, and some of the best antique and vintage finds the district has to offer. It’s the neighborhood’s bohemian nooks and crannies that drew him, and he had his eye on storefront a few doors down from where he stood on the 500 block. As he walked, he noticed people living life versus just going shopping. He listened to visitors and locals compare Northwood to Manhattan’s Greenwich Village and Miami’s eclectic Wynwood

District, and he liked that. He likes that a lot.

Five years later, Davis’ newfound allure of Northwood Village has not been washed off by a pandemic. On the contrary, he feels privileged that his store Day by Day Shoppe, a home furnishing store with retro, refurbished items, is just one of the many businesses breathing life into the village, helping sprinkle its metaphysical ‘magic’ and preserving this historical gem as a South Florida treasure.
